Project Management of a series of key and supporting components in the Trent XWB Jet Engine for the new Airbus A350. Managing the design, manufacturing, delivery and testing of components at sites in the UK, Japan, South Korea, Italy and the USA to strict quality and material requirements to ensure the best quality and performance possible was delivered to the client on time and on budget. While working on these projects Rolls Royce engaged KTR to work on a range of other projects helping to improve their supply chain and logistics operations for their global requirements. |
PUBLIC SECTOR
As well as extensive private sector experience, KTR has worked on numerous projects with the public sector. Most recently working with Staffordshire County Council, Police and Fire and Rescue Services. This saw KTR reviewing their business change proposals, producing a business case and then delivering a range of projects to combine numerous support functions across the services to improve the client offering and save money. |
MENTORING AND TRAINING
KTR have also been asked to mentor and train new and existing project managers in a range of organisations. This has included mentoring and shadowing through to setting up bespoke training courses for project managers. KTR have also assisted in the design of project management tools/software to cater for specific clients' needs and requirements. Experience has also been gained in running large business to SME mentoring schemes part of ERDF funded programs including - Knowledge to Innovate (K2i) and Motivating Business to Innovate. |
OTHER EXPERIENCE
A wide range of project management experience is available from KTR including running competitions and involvement with the collaborative publishing of books - an example is "The Mersey, the River that Changed the World". KTR organised the North West Business Environment Awards which included gaining entrants, organising judging, filming and managing the Awards ceremony. KTR has worked with schools encouraging young people into a career in science through the North West Schools Science Competition |
